Budget overage

I have been working to get some transparency in out Village finances. The emails below show my inquiries into money that is unaccounted for.   I recently got a reply, but not all questions were answered, and the answers that I got are completely different from what the Village Administrator told the Board. Also, the new explanations still leave thousands of dollars unaccounted for. The ongoing vagueness and inconsistencies in this area raises red flags for me.       Granted, the current treasurer after almost 4 months is still sorting out the mess left by the previous treasurer, but we need a better accounting of taxpayer money than what we are getting. The Village Board is supposed to review the entire financial report once a month, but our financial situation has basically gone black since September of 2021, with no information at all coming forth until very recently, and the report that finally came out is still not accurate.      Th...

Chris Voll's and Aaron Myszka's "von Briesen Report" Part 2 - A $65,000 crime against Kronenwetter Taxpayers

Be sure to check my other recent posts on this blog. On March 24, 2025 I brought to the Village Board meeting Agenda item O - Review of von Briesen Report    The objective was to determine how $65,000 of taxpayer money got spent on a project after the Village Board voted specifically not to engage in.   On January 31st 2024 the Village Board held a special meeting with a single agenda item which was "Discussion & Action: Selection of independent Counsel in Reference to Employee Complaint."    The Board and village attorney determined in closed session that the December 14 email from an employee that had gained such attention was not a legitimate complaint, but a page-long venting session. The approved Minutes of that meeting state the following: Motion by Dumais/Coyle not to select independent counsel and direct Administrator Ludi to work with personnel on a bonafide complaint, if any, and apply the employee handbook if appropriate . Moti...

Know Who You are Voting For Part 5: Trustees

The 2025 Trustee Candidates The following are my first-hand  observations and opinion. Once again the candidates for trustee position have been polarized by those who have joined as a block and identified themselves against the conservative candidates. It seems to happen each year.   The three who joined together as a block are Terry Lewis-Birkett, Ryan Leff, Jessica Stowell. They have basically refused the invitation to engage with the public to answer questions in an open forum along side the more conservative candidates Dan Joling, Chris Eiden, and Sandra Sorensen .     Likewise, Aaron Myszka declined an invitation from David Baker to participate in Baker's town hall type meeting with the public.  Instead, Birkett, Leff, Stowell, and Myszka have opted for having their own event, with the conservative candidates not being invited.    This "Them vs Us" mentality is a continuation from the past few years and calls into ques...

Know Who You are Voting For: Part 3

Aaron Myszka was on the Village Board for just over 7 months when he filed his candidacy papers for Village President. Here are my observations and opinions about him.    He certainly is a friendly and talkative person who obviously likes to be liked.  He is good friends with Alex Vedvik, who reportedly recruited Myszka as a trustee candidate in 2024 for support of Vedvik's efforts at Village Board meetings.      At meetings that they both attended, and not counting routine votes like "to adjourn" or to go into or out of closed session, Myszka voted in lockstep with Vedvik 129 times out of 133 possible votes. Of those 4 opposing votes, Myszka was called to vote before Vedvik, likely making the opposing vote inadvertent. Many of those votes contradict the principles that Myszka claims to now represent as a candidate for village president. Trustees Kelly Coyle and Alex Vedvik have been a constant source of embarrassment to Village Boar...

A Postcard from Home - The Case of the Fictitious, Falsified, Fire Truck Financing Fiasco

Be sure to click on the "other posts" button at the bottom to see other issues concerning the Village of Kronenwetter   A recent post card sent to Kronenwetter residents seems to make some convincing bullet-points about Chris Voll's dishonesty and lack of integrity as village president. However, I believe that it did not do justice to the magnitude of  Voll's complicity in that fiasco.  If anything, the card's message of a" need for change" was understated.   Chris Voll's few supporters seem to be diverting attention to who it was that sent the postcard as a distraction away from the truthfulness of the assertions made on the card. I will explain exactly what happened, and also the shameful "smoking gun" that the postcard did not even touch on.  The Background Facts   On February 22, 2024 Village Board had a very interesting special meeting to deal with an incredibly blatant case of Chris Voll and Village staff being inv...

Unbelievable - Chris Voll's "von Briesen Report" Part 1: A Crime Against Kronenwetter Taxpayers

Be sure to hit the "other posts" button at the end of this article to see other issues facing us as we strive for open, honest, Kronenwetter government.    Chris Voll has been touting this thing called the "von Briesen Report" that he allegedly is responsible for.    This report that he seems to be so proud of has cost Village taxpayers $65-70,000 in unauthorized, misappropriated funds .This means that the costs were incured without committee or Village Board approval    I will do a few posts showing that not only is this so-called "report" a sham, but I believe that it is a crime against the taxpayers of this Village.    When I first got wind of a secret contract being made with von Briesen, I thought at the time  that village administrator Leonard Ludi conspired with the village clerk to hire this firm to facilitate her alleged "complaint". I have never seen a complaint against me, and there are none on file w...
