A New Clerk - How Do We Get to There From Here?

  How do we get to there from here? So, two of the most critical employees in the Kronenwetter organization have in my opinion been very unwisely and crudely trash-canned as a sacrifice to the Joling/Davel ego-system. What is the administrative plan for recovery after what appears to be "mission accomplished"? Apparently nothing good, I'm afraid. The village clerk's 2-week notice was apparently wasted with no known preparation, no request for hand-off instructions, no knowledge of duties, no apparent management cares: nothing that indicates even a bit of administrative responsibility. Perhaps the idea is that no incompetence is too great that money can't fix it if enough is thrown at the situation. I said in the previous post that the last vestiges of a solid work ethic, integrity, and principles left in the office management walked out the door with the clerk on her last day. Lies, Damned Lies, and Municipal Budgets (With Correction)

 Correction: In the article below I describe a private meeting for the purpose of financially benefiting the police above other Village budget needs.     I incorrectly had said that Dave Baker participated in that meeting. It was not Baker, but reportedly Dan Joling who took part, and also treasurer John Jacobs.    Baker as president/quasi-administrator actually objected to that meeting being held at all, but had no authority to prevent it, Since it appears that certain participants were determined to achieve certain goals, and to have that meeting without public knowledge.    My apologies to Mr. Baker for the mistake. I have rewritten that paragraph accordingly.     Trust the Government?  A July 23 news article leads with the statement: WESTON — Weston trustees Monday approved a $6.7 million police headquarters minutes after one trustee said she felt completely misled about the need for the building.   ...

"The Investigation" Part 4 Davel Claims "Retaliation"?

      The much waited for "investigation report" has finally been released due to public pressure. In my opinion, if even half of the augmentation is true, this has been the most corrupt, dirty, bungled and just plain stupid waste of taxpayer money that I have ever seen in Kronenwetter. That is saying a lot.    I have posted 3 other articles on "The Investigation" Parts 1,2, and 2.5 weeks ago. I stand by every word of those, and much more coming now that the full report is available to the public.     The various future articles will be posted in no particular order, just as I get them written.  The statement has been put forth that   administrator James Davel claims publicly that the investigation was "retaliation" against him by former Trustees Charneski and  Sorensen over the sand mine issue.
